We are always looking to add new people to the many committees we have, to bring in new ideas and enthusiasm. Below, you will find a comprehensive list of our committees and descriptions of each of their missions. We are excited for you to learn more about the good work we are doing in our community! Home Show Committee
The Home & Product show has been the largest annual fundraising event for the chamber for over 50 years. The show features local businesses, organizations, crafters, artists, and thousands in attendance through the weekend from our four-town region and beyond. The Home Show committee plans and executes the annual Home & Product Show which takes place in the Spring. Committee members and assist with raffle solicitation, vendor registration, sponsorships, scheduling entertainment, assisting with set up, clean up and help during show hours. The committee meets in the months leading up to the show weekend, and a wrap up meeting takes place after the event is over
Golf Tournament Committee
The NCCCC Golf Tournament takes place annually in June. The committee helps to organize and execute our annual golf tournament in support of our North Central Act of Kindness Award program. The Committee is responsible for securing a location, sponsorships, selecting the menu for lunch and dinner, collecting raffle prizes and items for the Golfer goody bags, marketing and promotion of the event, and assisting with various duties and tasks the day of the tournament. The committee meets in the months leading up to the event, and a wrap up meeting takes place after the event is over
Legislative Breakfast / Economic Development Breakfast
The Legislative Breakfast and Economic Development Breakfasts take place on alternating years. These events feature local and state speakers and include breakfast with registration. Each Breakfast committee is responsible for securing a location, selecting the menu, creating the event registration, securing speakers and sponsors, creating marketing material, and promotion of the event. Committee meetings are held in the months leading up to the date of the event, with a wrap up meeting following the event
Summer / Fall Picnic
The Summer Picnic takes place annually in August / September. The committee is responsible for securing the event location, selecting the menu, collecting auction donations, deciding meeting theme, preparing decorations, creating marketing materials, printed program, digital display, and scheduling entertainment, if any. Committee members also help to set up the day of the event and assist with various tasks during the event. The committee meets in the months leading up to the event, and a wrap up meeting takes place after the event is over
Annual Meeting Committee
The Annual Meeting Dinner is the end of the year Board of Directors dinner meeting open to the entire membership. This event recognizes directors who are stepping off the board at the end of the year, new directors who will be joining the board, and acknowledges Business and Volunteer of the Year. The evening includes dinner, entertainment and a silent auction. The committee is responsible for securing the event location, selecting the menu, collecting auction donations, deciding meeting theme, preparing decorations, creating marketing materials, printed program, digital display, and scheduling entertainment. Committee members also help to set up the day of the event and assist with various tasks during the event. The committee meets in the months leading up to the December event, and a wrap up meeting takes place after the event is over.
Quality of Life Expo Committee
The Quality of Life committee works to bring together businesses and organizations from the surrounding communities that offer products and services that improve or enhances ones quality of life.
Marketing Committee
The NCCCC Marketing Committee works together to create and execute marketing initiatives that demonstrate the value of membership to current and prospective members, promote loyalty to member businesses and encourage attendance at monthly and annual chamber events. Committee members also oversee and assist with the chamber’s email and event software. Meetings take place monthly.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee works with the chamber Director in soliciting new members and retaining existing memberships. Committee members assist with making phone calls to members coming up for renewal, and past due members.
North Central Act of Kindness Program Committee
The North Central Act of Kindness award program is the region’s most prestigious award program. Middle School and High School students from our four-town region are recognized by their schools or members of the community for their acts of kindness, and they are presented with an award portfolio and a monetary donation is made in their honor to a charity of their choice. Committee members would assist in marketing the program, securing sponsorships, and attending award ceremonies.
Business Membership Services Committee
The Business Membership Services Committee is a newly formed committee focused on providing resources to the Chamber’s Business Members. The Committee will plan and execute quarterly networking / informational and/or education events for the benefit of our Members. The committee is responsible for securing a location, selection of menu, creating event the event registration, securing speakers and sponsors, creating marketing material and promotion of the event. Meetings are held monthly.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee meets quarterly to review chamber financial reports vs budget and current event budgets, if any. During fourth quarter, the committee meets monthly to complete Annual Chamber Budget for presentation to the Board of Directors.
